You, the Busy Change-Maker.
You’re here because writing just isn't your thing.
You’re too busy, or its too frustrating, or you just don’t know how to write like you speak.
You know you need help, but not just any help.
You need to keep the spirit of your vision alive;
You need to keep your integrity intact.
And you won’t settle for anything that’s just “good.”
Or, god forbid, “good enough”.
No. You need something great.
Me, the Face Behind the Screen
My name is Kelsey Marchand, and I'm a writer by blood and by bone.
I delight in using words to their full potential, and gag at buzz-word filled articles that have been rehashed and recycled hundreds of times.
I don't do boring.
I work exclusively with creative entrepreneurs; the rebels, the artists, the creatives…
The ones who pour their everything into their work.
The ones who started their business from the fires of passion and change.
The ones who are here to forge their own path, and make a difference.
You do things your way.
And me? I'm the same.
From high-school drop-out to corporate copywriter, I've had a knack for taking the road less traveled
(Curious about that story? Keep reading).
As a writer by both trade and by heart, this has never been just a career for me. It has been both my passion and my art.
My specialty is carefully crafting words that combine both the art and the science of marketing.
My promise to you: the work I craft for you is entirely bespoke. I will never hand over some fill-in-the-blank template that has been changed just enough to fit. You will always receive a hand-crafted piece that is custom to both your company's artistic style, and to the exact science that will make your customers jaws' drop in yes, must, have, need.
For Those Curious to Know How I Got Here…
At the age of 16, I dropped out of high school. Call it bad luck, or call it fate, but one autoimmune disease coupled with a nasty case of depression later, and I was down for the count.
Not too long after that, 17 year old me (on the road to recovery) discovered this neat little thing called copywriting.
Finding copywriting felt like one of those movie-like moments –you know, when the clouds part and streams of light shine down from the heavens?
A hallelujah moment.
As a long-time poet and psychology geek, I had undoubtedly found my spark.
And once I'd had a taste of it? I pursued it hard.
I would go on to spend the next 5 years working under mentors, studying neuroscience and marketing psychology, bothering industry experts, accepting every strange and challenging writing job that came my way, and reading Every. Single. Book. that I could get my hands on, all to hone in on my craft.
But, like so many people I know (and perhaps you too), I thought my path was to be found down the more traditional 9-5 route.
And like so many people I know (and probably you too), that wasn't the case at all.
After 4 years of the corporate life, I had learned a lot, but felt it was time to part ways.
And from there, an idea was born.
And that idea? Was made into a full-fledged, functioning business.
And this gal right here? Has met some of the most inspirational human beings through that business.
